How it works

A simple, transparent process, start to launch.

No mystery, no jargon, no disappearing for three weeks. Here's exactly how a project goes from our first conversation to your new site going live, and what happens after.

1. Discovery

We start with a relaxed call about your business, your customers, and what a new site needs to do. I learn what makes you different and where you want to grow. You get honest input on scope, timeline, and a fixed price, before you commit a dollar.

2. Design

I design a real, custom homepage built around your business, not a template with your logo dropped in. You review it, tell me what feels right and what doesn't, and we refine together until you genuinely love it. Nothing gets built until the look is locked.

3. Build

I build the full site: fast, mobile-first, and SEO-ready from the first line of code. Your content, photos, and brand come together into clean, lightweight pages. You see progress along the way, never a black box.

4. Launch & beyond

We go live, connect Google Search Console and Analytics, submit your sitemap, and make sure you start showing up in local search. I walk you through editing your own site, and an optional care plan keeps everything fast and updated.

No surprises

What makes this different

Most bad website experiences come from the same few things: a price that balloons, a designer who goes silent, and a final product the owner can't update. This process is built to remove all three. The price is fixed up front. You hear from me throughout. And you finish owning a site you understand and control.

Typical timeline is two to four weeks for a small-business site, depending mostly on how quickly your content and photos are ready. If you're starting from scratch on those, that's fine. I'll help you figure out what you need.

Questions

Process FAQ

What do you need from me to start?

Just a conversation to start. As we go I'll need your content, photos, a logo if you have one, and access to your domain and any accounts. I'll give you a simple checklist so nothing's confusing.

How involved do I need to be?

As much or as little as you like. Most owners are hands-on at discovery and design, then let me handle the build. You'll always approve the design before anything goes live.

What happens after launch?

I set you up on Google, walk you through editing your site, and offer an optional care plan for hosting, updates, speed monitoring, and ongoing SEO.

How can you charge $899 when agencies charge thousands?

I'm a focused, one-person studio with a lean process and low overhead, so there's no big agency markup. Every design decision and every line of copy gets my judgment before you see it, and I review and test everything before launch. You're paying for the result, and for someone local who answers the phone.
